2011
The following images are a few of the first projects from my first semester at the Maine College of Art.
Early 2011:
2010
These three images were personal projects I did just for fun a couple random times. The first two are the most recent, based on sketches I made in my pocket moleskin sketchbook. I scanned them into photoshop and added coloring and shading. The last picture, the one of the Orangutangs, was a challenge I asked Facebook in a status update: "Hey, People, respond to this post with stuff and I shall combine them to make a crazy drawing of your choice!". The answers I got consisted of "Orangutan King Kong being attacked by more Orangutans with Guns that shoot exploding rocks and a Cowbell.".
So I drew it in pencil, scanned it, colored it like the rest.
The following images were part of a personal project that fell apart due to a tornado hitting our house in the middle of development. The idea was to send weekly anonymous letters to my girlfriend containing a story riddled with riddles and puzzles relating to the sender. The first pair of drawings were meant to convey several secret messages. The most important of which was revealed when one was to overlay the two and let light pass through. If you look closely you can see the message "HE BURNED DOWN MY FACTORY" in the last image.
